This is such an easy way to create a meal from some simple ingredients that you probably have lying around the house. I find the shop-bought ones are full of unnecessary preservatives and emulsifiers. I love that these homemade tortilla wraps are so low in ingredients that you could hardly believe food could be this simple and quick.
I use these tortilla wraps for lots of meals in our household. Here are just some ideas of how you could use these wraps in your meal plans:
Tortillas with homemade chili, Cheddar cheese, avocado, and corn on the cob
Tuna mayo tortilla wraps with radish
Pan-fried toastie wraps with ham and cheese
Breakfast wraps
Chicken salad wraps
Baked tortilla crisps
Chilli burritos
Tortilla calzone

Ingredients in this recipe:
Plain flour – I use unbleached plain flour for the best results for the recipe.
Vegetable oil – I use vegetable oil for ease, but you could use melted coconut oil.
Salt – I use sea salt in all my cooking for the best flavour and mineral absorption in the body.
Equipment
Scales
Large mixing bowl
Rolling pin
Frying pan
Ingredients
250g Plain flour + enough for dusting
2 tbsp Vegetable oil / Or melted coconut oil for the dough + 2 tbsp to fry with
1/2 tsp ground sea salt
150ml water
Method
In a mixing bowl, add all your ingredients and knead for approximately 5 minutes until smooth and well combined.
Cover and leave to rest in the bowl for 30 minutes.
Dust your surface with plain flour and divide your dough into 8 equal portions.
Heat a frying pan on medium-high heat and add a little oil.
Roll your dough portions out using a rolling pin to approximately 6" wide in diameter.
Cook each tortilla for about 1 minute on each side, adding a little oil in between each one to avoid sticking.
You can eat these divine tortilla wraps immediately or leave to cool and store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
